University of Kentucky reveals Cheerleading team Lake SnellingAfter her newborn baby died, she was in school and in the stunt cheerleaders.

According to American Cheers, stunts are a discipline in cheerleading, emphasizing “technical and sporting components of cheering, including companion stunts, pyramids, basket throws, group jumps and tumbling.”

According to her Facebook page, Snelling is a major in interdisciplinary disability research at the University of Kentucky in addition to being a member of the team for three years.

Snelling was arrested on August 30 and charged with abuse of the body, tampering with physical evidence, and covering up the baby’s birth after authorities found the baby dead in a closet. She pleaded not guilty and issued in a bond of $100,000. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 26.

According to an arrest citation obtained by Lex 18 News, police found the baby “was wrapped in a towel in a black garbage bag.”
