Dreyer and Fichera met and fell in love while working at WHDH in Boston in the early 2000s. Dreyer worked there when Fichera was hired as a staff member.

“When he started working more, he would hang out at the weather center with our friend Todd. The three of us started hanging out more outside of work, building our friendship and getting closer,” Dreyer wrote on her wedding blog, Every Good Housekeeping Service. “A few years later, we had a small party at Brian’s house, which we called jam. By then, I realized that I was completely depraved, and from there it was history!”
