Here’s the wedding everyone is talking about – American tech billionaire Jeff Bezos will marry TV host Lauren Sanchez, the million-dollar party in Venice caused a stir.

The activists have been protesting the event, with “No Bezos” posters and banners throughout the city.

But the three-day event will continue, with the guest list rumored to include hundreds of A-Listers, including Kim Kardashian, Mick Jagger and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Although Bezos’ name is synonymous with the e-commerce empire, space technology companies and extreme wealth, his prospective wife may be little known, but is no stranger to the focus.

early life

Sanchez is a third-generation Mexican-American, born in New Mexico in 1969 and raised in California.

In 2017, she told the Hollywood Reporter that she didn’t grow much.

“We got nothing. When she went to the clean house, I used to sleep behind my grandmother’s car.”

She was a young adult who applied for a stewardess but was told she was too much- “At that time, they weighed you, and I weighed 121 pounds. They said, ‘You need 115’,” she told the Wall Street Journal.

She chose to study journalism at the University of Southern California and left her career in broadcast journalism in 1994.

She was a familiar face on American television in the late 1990s and was nominated for an Emmy Award for her performance on Fox Sports Net, and in 1999 she was awarded the Emmy Award as a host of KCOP-TV’s UPN News 13.

Sanchez went on to be the co-host of KTTV Fox 11’s Good Day La, the host of Fox 11 News and the original host of Dancing competitions, so you think you can dance.

According to the Times, in 2003, Sanchez appeared on the cover of Lads magazine with the title: America’s hottest news anchor.

Helicopter pilot

At the age of 40, Sanchez spinned from the news station to the cockpit and became a licensed helicopter pilot, which she said was inspired by her father.

In 2016, she launched Black Ops Aviation, becoming the first woman to own an aerial film production company. The company has provided photography to clients such as Netflix and Amazon and serves as a consultant to Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk.

Her interest in aviation led her to join the all-female staff of Blue Origin’s new Shepard Rocket along with Gayle King and Katy Perry.

Sanchez said a 10-minute suborbital space mission funded by Jeff Bezos’ aerospace company, opened her heart back.

“Protect this planet, it’s the only planet we have,” she said.

She also released a children’s book in 2024 – Flying to Space – a reading disorder that was undiagnosed in her own childhood.
