“We must eliminate this idea of American excellence, supremacy and indisputableness,” Pedada continued.
“I think it’s very important that we take criticism as a healthy process and learn from experiments in the world to push the boundaries that may continue to fight for more and more things and to understand how empires respond to what we continue to work harder.”
At another point during the panel discussion, Pedada declared: “We live in an evil country.”
He said October 7, 2023“We can say with certainty that the United States has always been the most helpful country, and that complicity is not even the right word, but the most responsible country, not only in Gaza, but in the West Bank and in the entire south of the world.”
Peddada claims that the United States is a country that “functionally has been the only superpower in the world for decades” and that its “aggregation is primarily accumulated by profits at the expense of human life.”

When the crowd got applause again, he said: “To confuse this or beat up in the bushes there is not for us; we live in an evil country and it is exactly what is happening.”
“That doesn’t mean we are all evil,” he added. “But it does mean we have a unique responsibility, and we have a unique position in the heart of the empire to act in unity with all our brothers and sisters in Gaza and the West Bank.”
Commenting on the remarks, one user on X said, “As an American, I find this a timid.”
“My culture and history have been ruthlessly attacked – statues of Washington, Jefferson and other founders have been torn up ‘controversial’,” he said. “Now, we have conference speakers who speak openly about ‘the idea of undermining America.’”

The conference was held on Friday afternoon with a well-curated opening, and when the band began playing songs in foreign languages, a speaker invited attendees to “Our National Anthem” while those wearing Keffiyehs continued the Palestinian flag.
Fox News Digital reached out to comment with Progressive International and People’s Conference, but did not receive an immediate response.
