Data comments

Ice release Detention statistics Every two weeks in the current fiscal year. The U.S. Guardians have been filing every release of the detention management statistics since January 2025 and have received an older version of the Vera Justice Institute. We calculated the number of arrests, detentions and deportations during each reporting period by scratching the data for each version and comparing the total with previous releases.

Data for the arrest Ice comes from ICE’s first reading and through the arrest agency and month: FY2025 Table. The arrest numbers could be a primer because the ice report only arrests resulted in someone detaining the ice.

The total number of detentions comes from Ice currently detained by crime and arrest agencies: Fiscal Year 2025. Deportation from ice removal: FY2025 table.

The U.S. Guardian did not visualize the first data release for fiscal 2025. The first version of each year includes carry-over data from the previous fiscal year, including arrests and deportations over two weeks.
