Jerry Jones, a cowboy owner of Micah Parsons, reportedly posted a week of any trade negotiations, and was reportedly willing to hear quotes from unanimous votes and their pass robbers, ESPN reported on Thursday.
Dallas is scheduled to start the season in Philadelphia next Thursday, with Parsons being one of the best players of the season NFLPeople have not participated in full practice since last season.
Parsons demanded a trade to stare at Jones’ multiple upgraded landmarks in the ongoing Jones contract. The Cowboys are firmly stating that Parsons has signed a contract and should be on the spot in the 2025 regular season if he wants to resolve a long-term agreement.
Parsons participated in the first four years of their career with the Cowboys. This season, he is the fifth year choice in his rookie contract in 2025. He reportedly filed a complaint earlier this year, believing he should be regarded as a defender — not a defensive end. The defender’s option salary is $24 million.
Jones made it clear that he prefers to talk directly to the players rather than their agents, and he publicly stated that he and Parsons agreed to the trading parameters for the spring. ESPN fixed the five-year extension clause to an average of $40.5 million per season.
In terms of annual average value, the high-paying defensive player is Steelers Pass Rusher TJ Watt ($41 million). Browns defensive end Myles Garrett signed a new deal earlier this year to raise its annual average salary to $40 million.
The proven pass premium guarantees that the 26-year-old Parsons’ asking price will be astronomy. The closest situation has brought outside linebacker Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears in recent years, which attracted Raiders’ picks in the 2018 deal: a pair of first-round picks, a pair of first-round picks, a third-round picks and a sixth-round pick.
