Several officials reportedly resigned from the CDC

A Center for Disease Control and Prevention Officials who posted a resignation letter on social media used the word “pregnant woman” and added the pronoun of “he/he/he” to his name to block his missionary.
“I am writing to formally resign from my position as Director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (CDC) of the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, effective August 28, 2025,” Dr. Demetre Daskalakis wrote in The Long Long. postal On X.

I also must enumerate the efforts of the government to eliminate transgender populations, stop critical domestic and international HIV programs, and end critical critical research to support equity as part of my decision.”

“I cannot serve in an environment where CDC is viewed as a tool that generates policies and materials that do not reflect scientific reality and are designed to harm rather than improve public health,” he wrote.
“I hope the CDC continues to succeed in its important mission and hope that HHS will turn around its dangerous process to eliminate public health as a practice and institution. If they continue to take the current path, they risk our personal well-being and the security of the United States,” Das Karakis concluded at the end of his message.
