On Monday, the Lebanon, Tennessee-based company stressed that many things about cookie barrels won’t change, including rocking chairs on the front porch and antiques and vintages scattered in its restaurants.

Cracker Barrel also said it will continue to honor Uncle Herschel – the old man in the former logo (the uncle who represents the founder of Cracker Barrel) on its menus and on items sold in the store.

But Cracker Barrel said it also wants to ensure that the business remains fresh and attracts a new generation of customers.

“This means showing up on new platforms in new ways, but always with our legacy at the heart,” the company said in a statement.

The company said it will also continue to conduct testing, learn and listen to its employees and customers.

Shares of cookie barrels fell less than 1% to $54.26 per share on Monday.
