“I’m AG!”: Blue State officials tell officers they will “regret” her arrest

BodyCam footage from Newport Police Department Rhode IslandSpecial Assistant Attorney General of Performance Devon Flanagan begged the officer not to arrest her and appeared to try to use her work as a state attorney to get her to leave.

“I’m AG! I’m AG!” Flanagan told police when she tried to detain her for failing to comply with the request. “You will regret it. You will regret it. I’m an A–” Flanagan said, and the door was closed when she was escorted behind the police car.

The Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office noted Monday that they were reviewing the issues involving Flanagan, but did not point out whether any disciplinary measures were taken.

“On the evening of August 14, the Attorney General’s Office learned that members of the Newport Police Department arrested Special Assistant Attorney General Devon Flanagan invaded,” Megan Skinner, spokesman for the Attorney General’s Office. Boston Globe.

Flanagan reportedly worked in the Attorney General’s office for seven years and was engaged in appeal cases Criminal Court. Eventually, she was charged with intentional trespassing and provided a subpoena to appear in court.

According to the Globe, another woman in the video yelled at the officer and escaped from handcuffs. The person was reportedly identified as Veronica Hannan, charged with intentional trespassing, misconduct and resistance to arrest.
