“Who wants to see these things?” he asked. “It’s simply wrong. I’m a fan of First Amendment, I’m grateful for what the media has done, I’m grateful for transparency and the public knowing to know. But there’s a line out there, and I think we’ve finished the line.”

In a latest interview with the News Agency, James explained why the families of Morgan and Chapin wanted to take legal action to prevent more photos of the crime.

“For them, I think it’s inaction to do anything about the privacy of any interior photos or any bloody photos,” he shared. “I think the core image here is an image of the death scene, the corpse and what happened in the murder. I think these things are the most offensive, and are undoubtedly escapes and should not be released.”

Before the judge made the ruling, James asked anyone who saw the images “think of the parents and families of these children, the families of the children they were killed, and consider if they were in a situation that they did not view the photos. Please do not look at the photos.
