A woman known as “Ketamine Queen” agreed to plead guilty to eventually kill a friend actor Matthew Perry to sell drugs.
Jasveen Sangha, 42, will plead guilty to five charges, including one dispensing ketamine, resulting in death or bodily injury, according to the Justice Department.
The United States-British two countries initially face nine counts of crime. Federal prosecutors called her Los Angeles home a “drug sale mall” and found dozens of ketamine in a raid.
Perry was found dead in a backyard jacuzzi in his Los Angeles home in October 2023 and found that this was due to the acute effects of ketamine.
Sangha is one of five people, including doctors – U.S. officials say he provided Perry with ketamine, which took advantage of his drug addiction and led to his overdose death.
According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), ketamine is an isolated anesthesia with some hallucinogenic effects. It distorts perception of vision and sound, leaving the user feeling disconnected and out of control.
