United Airlines It has suspended flights due to extensive technical issues and expects additional flight delays tonight, it said Wednesday.
“Due to technical issues, we will hold joint mainline flights at its departure airport,” Manchester United said in a statement. “We hope to have additional flight delays to resolve this issue tonight. Safety is our top priority and we will work with our customers to bring them to their destination.”
according to Federal Aviation Administration’s websitehas issued ground stations on United Airlines flights at several U.S. airports, including its hubs in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Newark and San Francisco.
The airline said ground stops will not affect United Express flights and any flights already in the air will continue to their destination.
As of Wednesday night, tracking the website Flightaware Manchester United reportedly delayed 28 per cent or 876 on the day’s flight.
When frustrated passengers entered social media, United apologized for the interruption and promised that their team was “resolving a wide range of system errors as soon as possible”.
